Gottfried Gusenbauer, one of the editors of
"LIN_C" geave me yesterday a print fresh version of
lin_c 2006 - a magazine for comics and comic strips feat. comics/articles on Christoph Abbrederis, Anna-Maria Jung, eDi, Stencilboard, Tonto, Jörg Vogeltanz and many more. 116 pages full of excellent material from all over the world.
Gottfried asked me for a contribution on the
NASCA culture (Peru) for the next issue. Thats great Gottfried, because the Nasca etched over-sized drawings of animals (geoglyphs), kilometer-long lines and numerous gigantic trapezoid and triangular planes into the chalky soil covered by a layer of rubble.

24th of julyVisited the countryside of lower austria to see a " videosymphony" called
"silberpfeil & bogen" ("silver arrow & bow"). Got the inivitation by old friend
alois huber, co-founder of
laton records & one of the most interesting electronic musicians in Austria. Enjoyed a sunny day with small nips of good wine until the show started at 8 p.m. at the loisium in langenlois. The loisium is not only a "wine museum" but also an architectonical experiment between technoid expressionism & weird constructivism. In other words: the real place for a mixed-media-experience with music (by alois huber with vocal support by
stephanie lang), visuals (by
markus wintersberger) & dance (by
julia mach). Divided into three parts the whole thing started inside the
loisium where julia mach moved in slow motion thru the whole building, embedded in sonic waves by huber and whirling visuals on nearly every wall by wintersberger. The second part took place at the railway bridge stiefern where a train (the "silverarrow") stopped & a light show with stroboscopes plus the music of alois huber tried
"to make the bridge dance". Again julia mach moved like an ghost thru the train, over the bridge an suddenly disappeared.the third part covered & illuminated the silver "skin" of the loisium with visuals by markus winterberger whereas alois huber was playing his music inside. The folded & wrinkled surface of the loisium made it easy to experience something like the vanishing of the whole building. But there was one main rival - a big & nearly oversized full moon illuminating the whole countryside with his magic silver light.

Last night (8th of june) the exhibition "You'll Never Walk Alone" - Football and Fan Culture opened at the O.K Center of Contemporary Arts in Linz, Austria
9 June - 9 July 2006
Opening: June 8, 2006, 9 p.m.Starting June 9th there will be excitement and prayers, tears and shouts of jubilation, fist fights and dancing, racist jibes and anti-racist agitation: The World Cup inflames the passions of millions. The O.K Center for Contemporary Art traces the enormous emotional impact of fandom and positions art, film, documentation, the self-aestheticization of fans and fan commerce in a highly charged relationship.
You‘ll never walk alone - the exhibition named after the legendary battle hymn from Liverpool additionally seeks to reconstruct changes in the concept of fans through a reflection on the space of the stadium: from the everyday cultural rituals of the crowd, through hooligan branding and all the way to domestication in the "disneyfied" and rigidly monitored entertainment arenas of the present.
